Using this site and hiring us

These terms cover your use of this website and any work you hire Laguna Niguel Insulation & Spray Foam to do at your house or building. If you browse the site, ask for an estimate or book a job with us, you're agreeing to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or book work with us.

When these terms say "we" or "our crew," they mean Laguna Niguel Insulation & Spray Foam. "You" means the person using the site or hiring us. If you sign a written estimate or contract for a specific job and it says something different from these terms, the signed document wins for that job.

What we do

We're an insulation contractor in Laguna Niguel, CA, and we work in the cities around it. Our work includes attic, wall, crawl space and blown-in insulation, spray foam, air sealing, vapor barriers and removing old insulation. The home page lists our services, and the about page tells you more about who we are.

What you read on this site is general information to help you understand the work. It isn't advice about your particular house, because we can't know what's in your attic or walls until we've looked. We're fully licensed and insured.

Estimates and pricing

Our estimates are free, done on site, and come with no obligation. The price we give is based on what we can see and measure that day, so it covers the work, the materials and the areas written on the estimate and nothing more.

Sometimes we find things once the job is open that we couldn't see before, like old insulation that's wet or full of droppings, hidden damage or wiring that needs an electrician. If that changes the work or the price, we'll stop, show you what we found and get your okay before we go on. We won't charge you for extra work you didn't approve.

Scheduling, re-entry and cancelling

We'll set a start date with you and tell you how long the crew should be at your house. Weather, access to the attic or crawl space, material deliveries and what we find once we start can move that date, and if it moves we'll let you know as soon as we can.

Some jobs, spray foam in particular, have a re-entry time, which is how long you, your kids and your pets need to stay out before it's safe to come back. We'll tell you that time before the job starts. Please follow it, because we can't be responsible for problems that come from going back inside early.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us at (949) 312-6098 as early as you can. If we've already ordered special materials for your job, any cancellation charge will be written on your estimate or contract, and we'll tell you about it before you sign.

Payment

Your written estimate or contract spells out what you'll pay, whether a deposit is due and when the balance is due. Unless it says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is finished.

If a payment is late, we may hold off on any remaining work until it's settled. You're responsible for reasonable costs we have to pay to collect money you owe, to the extent California law allows it.

Our guarantee and what it doesn't cover

Our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If something about the job isn't right, call us and we'll come back and make it right.

The materials we install may also carry their own warranty from the company that makes them, and we'll pass along whatever paperwork they give us. Beyond our guarantee and those maker's warranties, we don't make other promises about the work, to the extent the law allows. In particular, we can't promise a set drop in your power bill or a set temperature in any room, because those depend on your heating and cooling system, your windows, the weather and how your house is used.

Limits on our responsibility

We do the work carefully and we stand behind it, but there are limits to what we can be held responsible for. We aren't liable for indirect losses like lost rent, lost business or inconvenience, and our total responsibility for any job is limited to what you paid us for that job, to the extent California law allows.

We also aren't responsible for problems that were already there before we started and weren't part of the work you hired us to do, like roof leaks, plumbing leaks, pest damage or old wiring. If we spot something like that, we'll point it out so you can decide what to do.

Working out a problem

If you're unhappy with anything, call us first at (949) 312-6098 or reach us through our contact page. Most problems get sorted out quickly once we talk them through, and we'd much rather fix it than argue about it.

If we can't settle it together, either of us can take the matter to small claims court or another court in Orange County, California, where we're based.

California law applies

These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California. If a court decides that part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version on this page is the one that applies. If you've already signed for a job, the terms that were in place when you signed stay in place for that job.

If you have questions about any of this, visit our contact page or call (949) 312-6098. We're available Mon–Fri: 6 AM–9 PM, Sat–Sun: 8 AM–10 PM.
